THE GIVING BLEND PARTNERSHIP WITH THE SALVATION ARMY A HEAVY SUCCESS!
OMAHA, Nebraska—Scooter’s Coffeehouse and the Salvation Army announced today the results of their Holiday coffee promotion. During the Holiday season, Scooter’s Coffeehouse pledged to donate $2 per pound of their special blend of coffee sold, The Giving Blend, to the Salvation Army. Tom Townsend, CEO of Scooter’s Coffeehouse, announced the total today reached 1100 pounds of the special blend. “The program was a great success” claims Townsend. “Our store owners and more importantly their customers rallied around the program and pushed this excellent coffee”. The coffee was based on per-cup sales, as the coffee was featured on Tuesday’s and Friday’s during the promotion, and on bulk bean sales in the stores.
Major Paul Smith, Divisional Commander of the Salvation Army states, “The Salvation Army is thankful for the support we have received from Scooters. Innovative ventures such as this provide resources which enable us to continue to serve the less fortunate of our community.”
Townsend today presented The Salvation Army $2,200 in a check presentation at its Omaha headquarters.
