THE SALVATION ARMY OFFERS RELIEF FROM HEAT

The Salvation Army is opening today (7/21) community cooling centers for people who need a break from the extreme heat. Cooling stations open today and will remain open through tomorrow, July 22:

8:00 am – 8:00 pm

Kroc Center, 2825 Y Street

North Corps, 2424 Pratt Street

Lied Renaissance Center, 3612 Cuming Street

Council Bluffs, 715 N 16 Street (hours may vary, call ahead 712.328.2088)

 

Cold drinks will be provided to anyone seeking respite from the hot weather. Cooling stations will open when temperatures reach 90 degrees or above for two consecutive days.

The Salvation Army is in great need of donations of new fans or money to purchase new fans.

Fans are given to qualified individuals through the Summer Fan Program.
