THE SALVATION ARMY CONTINUED OFFERING RELIEF IN BEAVER CROSSING IN THE WAKE OF MOTHER’S DAY STORMS



The Salvation Army continued to provide disaster relief after an EF-3 tornado struck the central Nebraska community on Sunday, May 11. Operations concluded yesterday.

An Emergency Disaster Services mobile canteen and crews from Lincoln have been stationed in Beaver Crossing since Monday, May 12, serving food and beverages to hundreds of emergency workers and clean-up crews.  According to Lincoln Corps Officer and Incident Commander, Major James Pennington, more than 5,500 meals were served from May 12 to May 20 by Salvation Army volunteers and staff.
