The Salvation Army’s Emergency Disaster Services (EDS) is providing food, beverage, and spiritual support to survivors and first responders following the severe tornado activity and damage in Oklahoma yesterday and today.

CROSS COUNTRY CYCLIST MAKES STOPS AT THE SALVATION ARMY RAY AND JOAN KROC CORPS COMMUNITY CENTERS ACROSS THE COUNTRY

Bill Bihlman, a South Bend, Indiana resident, departed from San Diego on April 26^th to begin his 4,000 mile solo cross-country cycling fundraiser for The O’Connor House of Carmel, Indiana. Bihlman is riding from California to Virginia with the goal of raising $8,500 in donations during his seven to eight weeks of travel.

This week, The Salvation Army celebrates the 60^th annual Salvation Army Week. Omaha Mayor Jim Suttle made it official when he proclaimed May 13-19, 2013 Salvation Army Week. Events locally and across the nation will highlight the importance of Americans giving back to their community to support their neighbors in need at a time when many families and individuals continue to struggle to make ends meet.
